East Valley High School ASB donation drive

Each year, the Association of Washington Student Leaders holds a state-wide conference for student leaders.  This year, the conference is being held at Ike and Davis and schools from around the valley, including East Valley, are responsible for planning and running the event.  One of the most important parts of the event is the service project that all 800-plus students participate in each year.  For the 2017 conference, our service project will be collecting items to benefit Teytum’s Gifts, which is an organization dedicated to helping children transition into foster care.

To prepare for the service project, each participating high school in the Yakima area has committed to collecting items or raising money to purchase items to fill the backpacks that are then donated to the children entering the foster care system.  The students from EVHS have decided on organizing a fundraiser. Next week, May 22-26, the EVHS ASB and Leadership Clas will be sponsoring a class fundraising competition to benefit Teytum’s Gifts, an organization that benefits children entering foster care.
